<p>The Barkol Lake Basin is located in Hami City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The geographical location of the basin is 43°16'33"N-43°51'47"N, 92°07'12"E-93°58'30"E. The basin has a circumference of 455.89 km (Lambert projection) and an area of 5,647.22 km² (Albers projection). Among them, 81.50% is located in Barkol Kazakh Autonomous County, 9.37% is located in Yiwu County, and 9.13% is located in Yizhou District. There are a total of 24 oases in the basin. Among them, the largest oasis area is 1,402.82 km². There are more than 30 rivers in the basin. Among them, Liucao River is the longest, with a main stream length of 117.71 kilometers. Balikun Lake is located at 43°40′16″N and 92°49′19″E. In 2020, its water area was 55.16 km² and its circumference was 37.94 km. The elevations of the Balikun Lake Basin are divided into 6 types. The dataset is developed based on 2020 Google Earth meter-level resolution images, ASTER GDEM 30 m data, and measured data. The dataset includes the following data of the Balikun Lake Basin: (1) range boundary data;(2) oasis boundary data;(3) water system data; and (4) elevation classification data. The dataset is stored in.kmz,.shp and.tif formats, and consists of 62 data files, with a data volume of 14.9 MB (compressed into 5 files, 10.3 MB). </p>
