<p>Heihe River Oasis is located in Zhangye City, Jiuquan City, Jiayuguan City and Alxa League in Inner Mongolia in Gansu Province. The geographical location of Heihe Oasis is 38°05'01"N-42°24'59"N, 97°51'43"E-101°34'00"E. The Heihe Oasis consists of 132 oases with a total area of 16,147.52 km² (Albers). Among them, the largest oasis covers an area of 6,725.33 km2. The water systems that nourish the oasis mainly include Heihe River, Beida River and Shandan River, with main streams of 876.32 km, 386.34 km and 183.04 km respectively. The geographical location of the mountainous part of the Heihe River Basin is 37°43′11 "N-39°39′59" N, 97°20′34 "E-101°12′38" E. The mountainous part of the basin covers an area of 16,588.16 km2. The elevations of this mountainous basin are divided into 9 categories. The data set includes: (1) oasis boundary data;(2) water system data that nourishes the oasis;(3) boundary data of the mountainous part of the basin; and (4) elevation classification data of the mountainous part of the basin. The dataset is stored in.kmz,.shp and.tif data formats and consists of 64 data files with a data volume of 169 MB (compressed into 5 files, 46 MB). </p>
