<p>This monograph is an important achievement of the Botany Research Center of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. It systematically studies the ecological and anatomical characteristics of 19 species of subshrubs and subshrubs (involving 6 families including Chenopodiaceae, Legumes, and Patriciaceae) in the desert areas of Central Asia. By analyzing the morphogenesis and anatomical structure of its vegetative organs, the adaptation mechanism of this transitional biological form (between shrubs and herbs) to arid environments was revealed, including key traits such as branch blight pattern, lignification degree, and vascular bundle distribution. The book proposes an evolutionary level assessment framework based on individual development stages to provide a theoretical basis for the utilization of plant resources in desert pastures (such as forage value development). </p>
