This monograph can be divided into three parts. The first part discusses the discovery of rare plants and new species. It records 23 endemic plants in northern Kazakhstan and Tianshan Mountains, analyzes their geographical distribution and taxonomic status, and reports for the first time the root adaptability of 127 woody plants introduced in the Turkmenistan Botanical Garden under drought conditions. The second part focuses on the revision of plant systematics and conducts chromosome analysis on Allium, Astragalus and other groups to confirm the validity of new species such as Silene tianschanica. The genetic diversity of mountain plants in Central Asia was discussed through molecular marker technology, and a population identification method based on karyotype characteristics was proposed. The third part studies the ecology of fungi and lichens, describes the morphological characteristics of the lichen Caloplaca elegans and the yeast Vanderwaltia almaatensis, and analyzes their survival strategies in extreme environments. Through experiments on wheat leaf spot pathogen, the effect of acidic conditions on the germination rate of fungal spores was revealed (increased by 25%), providing a theoretical basis for regional ecological protection and disease control.
