<p>The Aksu River Basin is the catchment area of the Aksu River and its upstream tributaries. The geographical location of the basin is 40°10'53"N - 42°23'23"N, 75°05'19"E - 81°55'16"E. The basin area is 79604.83 km² (Albers projection), and the basin boundary length is 2840.75 km (Lambert projection). The Aksu River Basin is a transnational international river basin, of which 71.93% is in China (located in Aksu Administrative Region of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture);27.83% is in Kyrgyzstan, and 0.14% is in Kazakhstan. There are 42 major rivers in the Aksu River Basin, including the Aksu River, the Toshigan River, and the Tarim River. Their main streams are 127.66 km (Aksu River), 360.18 km (Toshigan River), and 106.19 km (Aksu Basin part of the Tarim River). The dataset is developed based on Google earth images combined with measured data, including: (1) Aksu River Basin boundary data;(2) Aksu River Basin water system data. The data set consists of 26 data files, stored in.kmz and.shp data formats, with a data volume of 63.60 MB (compressed into 3 files, 42.90 MB). </p>
