<p>This dataset contains the average annual water level and water level on December 31 of each year recorded in the documents of Lake Issyk from 1927 to 2016, as well as the annual average water level and lake surface area data of Lake Issyk from remote sensing satellite data from 1993 to 2016. Data is stored in.xlsx format. </p>

Provided by the Strategic Pilot Science and Technology Project (Category A) of China Academy of Sciences,"Pan-Third Pole Environmental Change and Green Silk Road Construction"(project number XDA20000000). It mainly includes data published by Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia (downloaded from the website) and direct purchase of statistical yearbooks and related professional books from Central Asia.

Data processing method

Excerpts from literature and interpretation of remote sensing images obtain vector data calculated area.
