<p>This data is DSM topography data of the Aral Sea Lake Basin in 2000. It is synthesized from SRTM data and the 1:500000 topography map of the Aral Sea in the 1960s. The spatial resolution is 30 meters. The plane datum adopts the WGS84 geodetic coordinate system, and the elevation datum is based on the EGM96 Earth Gravity Model. </p>

SRTM data (https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/) and a 1:500000 topographic map of the Aral Sea in the 1960s.
Re-project the 1:500000 topographic map onto UTM 40 area on the WGS84 North Datum. Based on the Kriging method, spherical semivariogram modeling is used and bilinear interpolation is used to generate the lake area grid digital elevation A with a spatial resolution of 30m. Then the 40m-60m regional elevation is compared with the SRTM dataset to solve the relative height deviation of the two sets of data sets in this area. Using this deviation, the lake area grid digital elevation A is revised to the elevation below 40m, and then the two sets of data sets are merged.
The spatial resolution of the original data is 30m, and the spatial resolution after processing is 30m. The statistical water-area-volume curve and the literature reported value R2 reach 0.99.
