The monograph reveals the general laws of seismic activity. The characteristics, development history, structural structure and the most important active faults of the crustal structure were investigated. The spatial distribution of strong earthquakes and destructive earthquakes, the tectonic conditions under which they occur and the distribution of intensity in the region are described. The empirical results of dividing seismic active zones by comprehensive seismotectonic methods are described in detail, which are used as the basis for compiling detailed seismic zoning maps. We also paid attention to the issue of long-term earthquake prediction. This book has reference value for geophysicists, geologists in the direction of earthquake tectonics, seismologists and earthquake-resistant building experts.
