This atlas is highly official and authoritative and is jointly compiled by multidisciplinary scientific research institutions and government departments: · Editor-in-chief units: Productivity Research Commission (SOPC) of the Academy of Sciences of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic, State Planning Commission. · Prepared by: No. 4 Factory of the State General Administration of Geodesy and Cartography of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union. · Data provider: o Natural category: Institute of Plant, Animal, Soil and Geology, Tajik Academy of Sciences, Hydrometeorological Service Bureau, Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics and Hydrology (SANIGMI). o Economic and social categories: Ministries and commissions of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic (national education, health, culture, agriculture), Statistical Committee. o Revisers: Institute of Geography of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, Moscow State University, Leningrad State University and other relevant expert teams.
The compilation of this atlas follows a strict scientific compilation process: 1. Scientific planning and organization: The Council of the Republic was established in accordance with the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic, and the Scientific Editorial Committee formulated the overall plan and determined the execution units of each volume. 2. Multi-source data fusion: - Field investigation and actual measurement: relying on geological exploration and hydrological observation stations (such as A.I. Long-term observation data from the Vojkov Central Geophysical Observatory) and the meteorological station. - Historical archives collation: Excavate historical documents, archaeological excavation reports and archives of the old regime for historical maps. 3. Comprehensive analysis and cartographic generalization: - Qualitative and quantitative analysis: Qualitative classification of natural factors (such as geological structures, climatic zoning), and quantitative statistical analysis of economic data (such as industrial output value, population density). - Thematic mapping technology: The layered coloring method is used to represent the landform, the contour method is used to represent the climate elements, and the range method and symbol method are used to represent the distribution of resources and facilities. For complex geological and structural data, cross-sections and perspective views are used to assist in explanation. 4. Editor and Reviewer: - Multi-level review: The first draft of the map is reviewed by experts in relevant fields (such as botanists and economists) for professional content to ensure scientific nature. - Standardization of place names: Place names are approved by the Terminology Committee of the Academy of Sciences and agreed with the Central General Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geography. - Drawing decoration: Unify legend, color system and layout design to ensure the overall coordination and readability of the atlas. The scanned version of the Comprehensive Atlas of Tajikistan is stored in JPG format. The resolution of the original scanned data is 6614×4676 pixels, and the output resolution is 400 dpi. After later trimming and splicing according to the complete page, the picture resolution remains unchanged, and the output resolution remains unchanged. The processed data is stored in.jpg and.png formats.
