<p>This publication is a systematic scientific record of the official Soviet Union of avalanche activity in Central Asia and Kazakhstan, including detailed observation data from 1974 to 1980. Volume 13 covers central and southern Kazakhstan (such as the Balkash Lake Basin), and Volume 14 covers Central Asia (Syr Darya, Amu Darya Basin, etc.). The content includes: the division and characteristics of 93 avalanche formation areas, statistical analysis of avalanche frequency, volume and disaster events, research on the correlation between meteorological conditions and terrain, and disaster assessment methods based on ground observation stations, aerial surveys and local reports. </p>
