<p>The author arranged three monitoring sections (HN, HZ, HB) in Tianchi, Tianshan Mountains, Xinjiang, China from June to October 2014. Each monitoring section included three monitoring points. Among them, HN is the water inlet area, HZ is the center area of the pool, and HB is the tourist gathering area and water outlet area. In the middle and late of each month during the testing period, testing points were selected from 0.5m from the surface layer, at intervals of 1m, and to 20 meters below the horizontal surface. The vertical testing contents included: water temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, pH value, chlorophyll a and blue green algae cell density. The data set includes: (1) Geographical Information System data on the distribution of sampling points in Tianchi;(2) Change data on water temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH value, chlorophyll a concentration and blue-green algae cell density at different water depths in Tianchi at HN, HZ, and HB respectively. The dataset is stored in.shp and.xlsx formats, with data compression to 29KB. The analysis and research results of this dataset were published in Lake Science, Volume 27, No. 6, 2015. </p>
