The author conducted a field survey in the oasis of the Tarim River Basin from July to August 2023. The land use types covered farmland, forest land, grassland and wasteland. Soil sampling included two depths of 0-25cm and 25-50cm, totaling 622 sampling points. Testing and analysis were conducted in the laboratory of the Public Technical Service Center of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, China Academy of Sciences, and a dataset of soil physical and chemical properties in the oasis in the Tarim River Basin (2023) was obtained. The data set includes: (1) the geographical locations of 622 survey sample points;(2) the physical and chemical properties of the soil at the sample points, including sodium saturation, cation exchange rate, organic carbon content, total nitrogen content, etc.;(3) Land use type at the sample points. The data set is stored in.shp and.xlsx formats and consists of 15 data files with a data volume of 727 KB (compressed into 1 file, 105 KB). This dataset can provide basic data reference for related research on soil evolution and ecosystem service function assessment of oases in the Tarim River Basin.
