<p>This collection of papers is based on the latest survey data and contains comprehensive articles on geographical research in Kazakhstan. The content includes a summary of geographical research in Kazakhstan in the Soviet Union, history of population migration and agricultural development, analysis of climate characteristics, glacier and hydrology research, industrial zone formation issues, natural calendar (phenology) records, and topics on agricultural geography and geomorphology evolution. The focus is on the study of mountain landscapes, lake characteristics and erosion in Alatao, Junggar, Alatao, Waiyili and other areas, and theoretical issues such as the vertical belt spectrum structure of the Tianshan Mountains are discussed. </p>

This book is the collection of the Documentation and Information Center of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, China Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Center).
