<p>This book systematically studies the causes, shapes and geographical development laws of rivers and floodplains in plains and semi-mountainous areas. Based on the theory of river course, the author proposed a complete geomorphological classification of floodplain, and took the Siberian region as an example to analyze the formation factors of floodplain and the combination of corresponding geomorphological forms. The book also contains practical suggestions on flood plain agricultural utilization, engineering construction, mineral resource development and transportation improvement, emphasizing the importance of flood plain in the national economy. </p>
