<p>From May 18 to June 4, 2017, Kazakh staff carried out field collection of soil samples in Kazakhstan to obtain environmental information and on-site photos at sampling points, as well as results obtained from laboratory analysis in Kazakhstan and domestic laboratories. Soil pH, eight major ions, total salt, organic matter, conductivity, total dissolved solids and other results were collected, and a total of 314 sample points were collected. </p>
Field sampling and laboratory analysis were conducted from May 18 to June 4, 2017. The laboratory analysis included laboratory analysis results in Kazakhstan and analysis results from the Central Laboratory of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, China Academy of Sciences.
The domestic laboratory entrusted the Central Laboratory of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, China Academy of Sciences to complete the analysis. The equipment used for analysis included ion chromatography (Diane ICS-5000, USA), inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy (Agilent 735 ICP-OES, USA), DDSJ-308A conductivity meter, Mettler G20 potential titrator, and Mettler SevenEasy PH meter.
