In the current era-an era of rapid development of technology, industry and agriculture-the growth of population and the increase in material and cultural needs will inevitably lead to greater and greater changes in nature. Therefore, when utilizing natural resources, special attention must be paid to their protection. Today, the concept of "nature conservation" itself has gained new connotations. Today, we cannot limit ourselves to simply preserving nature completely unspoiled. The task facing nature protection is to ensure the comprehensive and rational utilization of natural resources and carry out creative reproduction work. Although the issues and measures of nature conservation are unique in almost every republic, there are still many issues that require the joint efforts of nature conservationists across the country to solve, and some of them even require international cooperation. Exchange of experience and creative discussions were the hallmarks of the development of science in the Soviet Union-Soviet science served the cause of peace and the friendship of brotherly peoples of all ethnic groups, illuminating the entire world with the eternal light of the great ideas of our dear Communist Party. Therefore, we are convinced that this meeting will make due contributions to our country's nature protection cause.
