This book takes the Aral Sea Basin (mainly involving the Syr Darya and Amu Darya basins) as the research object and systematically discusses the impact of human economic activities on river runoff and its quantitative assessment methods. The book first analyzes the human influencing factors and evaluation methods of runoff, and then expounds the water resources status of the basin, water conservancy project construction and water resources utilization status. On this basis, it focuses on analyzing the impact of water conservancy improvement measures on runoff consumption and structural changes.
