AB  - This textbook explores the zoning of the Soviet Union and expounds the characteristics of the natural complex of the European part of the Soviet Union and the Caucasus according to the university syllabus. In the future, it is planned to introduce Western Siberia, Kazakhstan, Central Asia (Part 2), Central Siberia, Southern Siberian Mountains, Northeast Siberia and the Far East (Part 3) by region in the form of a separate booklet.Existing geographical atlas, especially the Atlas of the Soviet Union (1962), allows this book to omit many maps and minimize the number of schematic maps.In compiling this book, the author drew on his experience in teaching physical geography courses in the Soviet Union at teacher colleges and universities.The author's views on putting forward specific opinions and valuable suggestions during the preparation of the manuscript.А.
