%X This book systematically studies the characteristics and management strategies of forest ecosystems in northern and central Kazakhstan. The first part discusses the scientific basis for economic utilization of forest resources in North Kazakhstan, including the ecological characteristics of belt pine forests and the classification of forest types in Kazakh hilly lands. The second part analyzes the biological characteristics of major tree species, such as intraspecific variation of Pinus sylvestris, morphological variation of Siberian fir, and phenological characteristics of birch and poplar. The third part studies forest management techniques, including the impact of tending logging on photosynthesis, plantation density regulation, and the impact of herbicide use on understory vegetation.
