%X This book is the first fascicle of Volume 2 "Birds" in the 30-volume series of "Zoology of Kazakhstan". It is the first of the 7 bird fascicles planned to be published. It includes 67 species of birds from 6 orders, including Lovebirds, Pellicans (Uchaformes), Stuckeniformes (wading birds), Red Stuckeniformes and Anseriformes (geese and ducks). The book provides each species 'classification, synonyms, appearance description, field identification characteristics, distribution in Kazakhstan and global distribution area, residence type, habitat, quantity, living habits (biology, phenology, food habit) and economic significance in a unified manner. There is a general section before the taxonomic chapter, which includes an overview of the class of birds, the characteristics of the avian fauna of Kazakhstan and its research history. There are bird illustrations, distribution maps and references at the end of the book. This book is open to zoology and hunting professionals, teachers and students in the biology department of universities, and practitioners of the Wildlife Conservation and Utilization Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
