%X This book is a historical geography monograph on the development of Russian geography during the era of Peter the Great. It systematically examines Russia's achievements in geographical discovery, exploration, cartography and national geographical cognition in the early 18th century. The book focuses on the exploration activities in Siberia, Kamchatka, the Kuril Islands, the northwest coast of North America, Central Asia, the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus and the Far East.
