Since then, a large amount of research has been conducted in the region. Therefore, the authors who have participated in these studies believe that it is now necessary to present some of the latest data to more comprehensively shed light on the natural conditions of this economically important area, and hope that their collective labor will promote further development of the area.In describing the natural zoning of the area studied, the authors went beyond the boundaries of the Karakum Desert itself and also addressed the natural conditions of its adjacent areas. On the one hand, this is due to the integrity of natural geographical conditions and the close economic ties between Karakum and other neighboring areas of Turkmenistan. On the other hand, it is also because there is no unified conclusion on the boundary issue of this desert, and its boundaries are not clear everywhere.
