The material for these articles comes from field research and laboratory work conducted in 1949.The collection contains eight articles, five of which deal with the history of Quaternary vegetation in the grassland areas of the southeastern European territory of the Soviet Union. It is of great significance to apply sporopollen analysis methods to the study of Quaternary sediments in this area, because we had almost no paleobotanical data in this area before. It can explain many issues from a completely new perspective, which is not only of theoretical significance, but also of practical significance as the Southeast is implementing grand national economic measures. The other three papers discuss the morphology of pollen and spores, which is undoubtedly of great significance to the further development and improvement of sporopollen analysis methods.
