AB  - Л.С. Berg's research on Soviet landscapes is one of his most important academic contributions to geography. The landscape zone theory he founded examined geographical elements such as climate, topography, waters, animals, plants, and soil as an organic whole, laying a solid theoretical foundation for regional natural geography research.
