%X Л.С. Berg's research on Soviet landscapes is one of his most important academic contributions to geography. The landscape zone theory he founded examined geographical elements such as climate, topography, waters, animals, plants, and soil as an organic whole, laying a solid theoretical foundation for regional natural geography research. Based on Berg's classic book "Nature of the Soviet Union", this book briefly and clearly displays the basic characteristics and regular replacement of different latitudes and mountainous landscape zones in the Soviet Union.
