%X This manual presents the results of high-altitude synoptic processing of the aircraft turbulence research and observation data jointly carried out by the Kazakh Hydrometeorological Institute, the Central High-altitude Observatory and the Tashkent Geophysical Observatory in 1956. The author proposed a high-altitude synoptic classification of the causes of aircraft turbulence, and discussed thermal turbulence, terrain turbulence, frontal turbulence, power turbulence, cold advection turbulence, tropospheric "cold vortex" turbulence and jet turbulence.This manual is intended for weather forecasters, high-altitude meteorologists and aviation pilots.
