AB  - The Atlas of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic is Kazakhstan's first comprehensive scientific reference geographical atlas. Its compilation is based on the decision proposed by the Kazakh Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union and reviewed and adopted by the Council of Ministers of the Republic. In the form of a map, the atlas comprehensively summarizes the results achieved by various institutes of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences and scientific research institutions in various industries on the Republic's natural conditions and natural resources, population, economy and history over the years. It aims to provide scientific basis for the rational use of natural resources and tasks such as developing productivity and planning the cultural construction of the Republic. The book consists of two volumes. The first volume collects extensive and multifaceted information on the natural conditions and natural resources of the Republic. Its structure is determined by a common classification of basic elements of the natural environment, and highlights natural resources of great economic significance and natural environmental objects that need protection. The second volume is a social and economic map that describes the population situation of the Republic and the development level of industry, agriculture, transportation, education, medical and health, science and culture. It also contains maps that reveal the historical past of Kazakhstan, jointly showing the overall appearance of Kazakhstan's natural, economic and social development.
