%X This paper collection contains 9 research papers on short-and long-term weather forecasting completed by staff of the Institute of Hydrometeorological Sciences in Kazakhstan in 1956 and 1957.In terms of short-term weather forecasting, papers by Luo Xie Golubov and Ye De Schechtman are included, which propose new methods for predicting heavy rains and their thermodynamic basis.In the paper by Ta A Duletova and M He Baidala, Mulitanovsky's ideas on natural weather cycles, monthly and seasonal forecasts were further developed.
