%X The book "Central Asia Gray Calcium Soil" is a comprehensive summary of soil research conducted by Russian and Soviet soil scientists on the Central Asia region for more than 50 years. It is one of the most outstanding monographs on soil science in the Soviet Union. The book is divided into seven chapters. The first three chapters respectively provide an in-depth explanation of the natural geographical conditions, ground weathering processes and development types of soil-forming parent materials of the Central Asia lime soil belt; The first part of chapter 4 comprehensively analyzes and summarizes the soil classification system of the calcareous soil belt, and proposes the author's classification system for all soils in the calcareous soil belt of Central Asia. Then based on this system, the main soil types in the Soviet Union are systematically and detailed elaborated. This chapter occupies more than half of the book; Chapter 5 comprehensively discusses the basis for the independent occurrence of calcareous soil, which can serve as a model for our research on soil types in Central Asia; The sixth chapter puts forward the development and evolution of calcareous soil and the main characteristics of calcareous soil production.
