%X This book examines the natural conditions and soil characteristics of the lower mountainous areas of the North Altai. Taking the Gorno-Artesk Experimental Production Farm as an example, it shows that the Altai Low Mountains are one of the most promising areas for developing intensive fruit tree cultivation. It is pointed out that the decisive factor in increasing the output of agricultural products is rational use of land, and the promotion of soil and water conservation measures has leading significance. The monographs are aimed at experts in agricultural production and geography, soil-agricultural chemistry and economics.
