М. М.罗戈夫（М. М. Рогов）的《阿姆河三角洲水文学》是国家海洋学研究所准备出版的苏联河口区域水文地理专著系列中的第二部。\n阿姆河三角洲拥有巨大的土地和水资源、有利农业的气候条件，加之当地居民拥有数百年灌溉农业的经验，具有非常重要的国民经济意义。卡拉卡尔帕克苏维埃社会主义自治共和国居民的经济活动几乎完全依赖于三角洲自然资源的利用。然而，当前三角洲自然资源的利用与其潜在可能性并不相称。造成这种状况的原因之一是水系网极其剧烈的变化。\n除了国民经济意义外，阿姆河三角洲的研究对三角洲形成的一般理论也具有重要价值，因为它属于典型的亚热带河流三角洲类型，具有高含沙量的特征。基于此，国家海洋学研究所河口研究实验室开展了专门的长期工作，研究水文状况和水系网动态——作为三角洲整个自然综合体发展中最重要的主导因素。这些研究以本专著告一段落。\n专著作者М. М.罗戈夫不仅收集和整理了大量的文献和档案资料，还运用了他在1952—1954年三角洲考察研究中积累的大量个人观测资料。考虑到使用本书制定三角洲经济开发措施的各种专家的不同需求，作者引用了大量的实际资料。\n
