吐鲁番绿洲位于新疆维吾尔自治区，地理位置是42°32′22″N-43°12′50″N，87°49′55″E-90°46′35″E。吐鲁番绿洲由一系列分布式的绿洲组成（共106块）。绿洲总面积为2,398.50 km²（Albers投影），总周长为2,154.14 km（Lambert投影）。其中，集中连片、最大的绿洲面积为1,210.16 km²，周长为777.62 km。总绿洲面积的99.94%位于吐鲁番市（其中，41.89%位于高昌区，34.92%位于鄯善县，23.13%位于托克逊县），0.06%位于乌鲁木齐市达坂城区。吐鲁番绿洲水系是滋养和维持吐鲁番绿洲存在的诸河流组成的水系，主要河流有白杨河（长185.70 km）、阿拉沟（长142.33 km）等，它们的干流长度分别为185.70 km和142.33 km。吐鲁番诸河流域山区部分的地理位置是42°16′32″N-43°51′10″N，86°45′22″E-90°48′04″E。其面积为15,492.64 km²，边界长度为1,636.78 km。该部分流域面积的63.07%在吐鲁番市，19.86%在乌鲁木齐市，16.98%在巴音郭楞蒙古自治州，0.08%在昌吉回族自治州。该部分流域高程共划分为11种类型。该数据集基于Google Earth影像、ASTER GDEM 30 m数据、结合实测数据研发得到。数据集内容包括：（1）吐鲁番绿洲边界数据；（2）吐鲁番诸河水系数据；（3）吐鲁番诸河流域山区部分边界数据；（4）吐鲁番诸河流域山区部分高程分类数据。数据集以.kmz、.shp与.tif数据格式存储，由59个数据文件组成，数据量473 MB（压缩为5个文件，28 MB）。
