This book is dedicated to exploring one of the most interesting but little-studied phenomena in nature-salt karst, its unique form and conditions for the formation of brine, and its geographical distribution in salt ore deposits and salt lakes. The issues elaborated in the book not only have great cognitive significance, but also have important practical value. In the form of popular science, this book vividly describes the important role of natural salt karst in the formation of giant stalactite caves, as well as the technology of artificially leaching underground salt caves to store petroleum products. Understanding the development laws of salt karst will help to build and operate salt mines and salt industries in the most reasonable way, and utilize karst brine as a valuable raw material in the chemical industry. This book will undoubtedly help complete the tasks put forward by the party and the government to develop the chemical industry and mineral fertilizer production. It will benefit the vast number of Soviet intellectuals who study our country's underground resources and surface conditions.
